YIN YOGA NEWCASTLE

Yoga, particularly, yin yoga, is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that can be used to treat various imbalances in the body. With no up or downward facing dogs like mainstream yoga, yin yoga has less poses which are held over a longer period of time. The ultimate goal of yin yoga is to slow down both body and mind giving you the opportunity to understand the sensations of your body throughout your practice.
Mainstream yoga typically uses the active stretch training principle to relax the body. However, yin yoga uses passive stretch training principles which means you will hold the stretch for up to 5 minutes. This allows the fascia to lengthen and rehydrate, allowing the tension areas to achieve a deeper release. Our Yoga classes in Newcastle are ideal for beginners, experienced yogis, management of injury, balance and alignment, anxiety and depression.
